Titled "Dark Side", I kept waiting for something black and evil to overtake this all too cute scene, but forget it ladies and gentleman, it isn't coming. Many thanks to my brother's all-too-adorable girlfriend Sarah, for passing this one along :)
I did have to look up what the costume was that the dog walking out in the end was (cough, Imperial Walker, cough) because it's definitely my favorite part! I work next to a boarding kennel and our customers ask us each and every day if we get tired of all the barking and without even stopping I can't help but smile wide and politely respond, "Never, not at all." Go Dogs, You rock.
(Publishing posts from the past. This one hails from Spring of 2017 when we had first moved to Florida and were renovating our first home. Plz continue 2025 commentary following the revived content.) You should because it's true. Pooping was a whole other story. Some other things that have been going on around here - I ended up moving my computer over to our place while we're crashing with Adam's mom to help with staying focused on work during the day. It's nice and keeps me much more concentrated but I do miss the comings and goings and of course having two of the best coworkers ever, read: dogs. 1. Cleaning out the gutters. 2. "Marry your best friend. I do not say that lightly. Really, truly find the strongest, happiest friendship in the person you fall in love with. Someone who speaks highly of you. Someone you can laugh with. The kind of laughs that make your belly ache, and your nose snort. The embarrassing, earnest, healing kind of laughs. Wit is important. Life is too short not to love someone who lets you be a fool with them. Make sure they are somebody who lets you cry, too. Despair will come. Find someone that you want to be there with you through those times. Most importantly, marry the one that makes passion, love, and madness combine and course through you. A love that will never dilute - even when the waters get deep, and dark."
But 100% spot on. This production does an incredible job of encapsulating a phenomena that is all too common in today's world. You may think otherwise, but I have seen it happen and have been a part of it and know that it is very much real. There are more thoughts to be explored here, but I'm going to give myself a break and settle for at least getting this video up and posted. More eloquent conclusions and discussions to come. But for now, watch this video. And even if this doesn't apply to you, understand, KNOW that this is happening and have the courage to help a friend or a stranger who may be experiencing it by being the first one to be open, to be kind, to be caring. To go that extra step that is unexpected, to open those arms and your home with no expectations and do it again, and again. It will take time and it may not be you that breaks through that barrier, but you either started the process, opened that window, or at least were one more step getting them closer...
